Extreme Rules 2022: Final results for October PPV

WWE returns to pay-per-view this weekend with Extreme Rules from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

The event featured several conditional matches and major titles changing hands. We had an interesting pit fight in the main event and a surprising comeback after that. After weeks of “White Rabbit” Easter Egg sketches, Bray Wyatt finally returned to WWE to a standing ovation from the Philly crowd. We’ll see what he has and who he will target first once he returns.

Matt Riddle vs. Seth Rollins (Fight Pit Match with Daniel Cormier as Special Guest Referee)

Winner: Matt Riddle via submission

In the main event, Matt Riddle managed to trick Seth Rollins into tapping with a triangle to win the fight match.

This happened shortly after…

In the middle of the match, Judgment Day came out to interfere in Balor’s favor, and Rhea Ripley handcuffed Edge to the ropes of the ring. This gave rise to Rey Mysterio who took the lead before being eliminated by Dominik Mysterio. Edge’s wife, Beth Phoenix, then goes out and cleans the ring and retrieves the key to free Edge from the handcuffs.

Edge regained the lead before Doomsday returned to the top. The match ends when Ripley threatens to give a con-chair-to to a dejected Phoenix, prompting Edge to say “I’m Out”. Even after Ripley said those words, he dealt a heavy blow to Phoenix’s head with a steel chair.

Raw Women’s Championship – Bianca Bellaire (c) vs. Bayley (Ladder Match)

Winner: Bianca Bellaire

The EST era will continue on Raw as Bianca Belair makes her way up the ladder to snatch the belt and take on Bayley.

Belair must battle with Bayley, Iyo Shirai, and Dakota Kai throughout the game to survive. The match ended when Belair KOD promoted Bayley to the top of the table, propelling him to victory shortly thereafter.

Drew McIntyre vs. Karrion Kross (Rope Match)

Winner: Karrion Kross via pinfall

Kross took his first PPV win by beating Drew McIntyre in their tag team match. The game ends when Scarlet interrupts him just as McIntyre is getting ready to claymore and sprays hot spray in his face. Kross will beat the former WWE Champion with a Krosshammer to win.

SmackDown Women’s Championship – Liv Morgan (c) vs. Ronda Rousey (Extreme Rules Match)
Winner: Ronda Rousey via KO

Liv Morgan’s three-month reign is over. In an extreme rules match involving bats, fire extinguishers and tables, Ronda Rousey emerged victorious to reclaim the SmackDown Women’s Championship for the second time.

The game ends when Rousey sends Morgan into submission, using the broken table piece as leverage. Morgan passed out and asked the referee to ring the bell.

Brawling Brutes vs. Imperium (Donnybrook Match)
Winner: Brute Brawling via Pinfall

This is one of the best pay-per-views we’ve seen in a while. The match matches the brutal violence you might imagine in your mind. Both teams got their places and it was all over when a Sheamus accent kicked Giovanni Vinci to win. Knock by beat, beat by beat.
